Earlier this year, I had plans to begin working on a deck of playing cards and a book based on my Botany in Wonderland project, but unexpected gallery show offers and commissions based on my work over at Gallery of the Absurd put a hold it. Now that the dust has settled, I'm finally free to pick up where I left off. The Botany in Wonderland series is inspired by hidden worlds, beings and species that might be found thriving in parallel universes. First to make an appearance is the Queen of Clubs. One down, 53 to go...
Medium: ink and watercolor on paper, digital color. This card dedicated to Mark H-J.
Very cool.

The picture exihibits such a serene beauty. But even more so the colors you have used are so great. After becoming more familliar with your style and asthetic, I think that the aspect I enjoy the most about your work is your choices of color you use in your pieces. Excellent work as usual, 14.
