Meet one of the models from the captivating Sissy Fashions website. They specialize in creating over the top petticoats, little girl party dresses, french maid outfits and formal gowns for adult men. The clothes are amazing (and I plan on ordering this dress to add to my own wardrobe), but the site's real gem is the gallery showcasing the happy (and at times, not so happy) customers pictured in their frilly new outfits. I chose 5 models to paint for various reasons and will post one each day this week.
Above: "Morose Priscilla and the Dirty Laundry Basket". This one caught my eye because despite the fact he's gone to all that trouble to acquire a custom-made frilly wedding cake of a dress and then present it with a curtsy, he still can't muster a smile. If I were him, I'd be skipping through the daisies in joy. Medium: gouache and charcol over torn pages from old copies of Weekly World News and board.
Big men in dresses is hilarious.

My husband bought me a dress just like that one. It was so sweet of him. I found it hidden in the back of the closet before he could give it to me. He loves seeing me in my new dress. Always making sure my hair is just right or finding me accessories. Such a doll!

I love it!!! I know this is 8000 years old, but maybe Peter Pan deserves to be rediscovered by your brush. :)

What's up with fancy dudes having dead expressions? Maybe in the next cycle of Top Model, Tyra should show them how to do fierce eyes.

I never thought of you as a "sissy" 14, a tough fey perhaps, but never a sissy. (meant to type 'touch fey', but I like the typo, so I'm keeping it)
Have fun with your project!!!!

I flipped through the gallery and, wow, some of those dresses look straight out of a kiddie pageant. Thanks for showcasing the site!

Sometimes when I'm working with tough executive-types, I wonder if they are secret cross dressers like these fellas.
Then I think to myself, "not so tough after all, eh Sissy?"

Giddyup, 14. As usual i'm scraping my jaw off the floor.
(Why do you assume Priscilla's laundry is dirty? I got a basket of clean stuff in my lounge room right at this moment, waiting to be folded and put away. But i agree the 'washerwoman' look does NOT add to the Glamour!)
But back to the chase. Fabulous work as ever. Love how you've 'amplified' these photo subjects. I can so picture these fellas in their 'other lives' with a beer, a ciggie and a betting form, watching the game at the bar.
Megavolts of positive energy heading your way, for all endeavours, as ever --

WOW.
I adore gender-bending, ambiguity, and broken conventions, and it's neat to see this particular subject illustrated by You.... but just WOW. those dudes look so unenthused by what they're wearing! hah...
If You can find other cross-dressing fashions websites, I'd recommend painting some less-than-sissy wear on some sissy-looking guys.
think of it: a cherry red, tight vinyl mini dress on a skinny dude with sinewy legs and a weak chin. and he's balding. BUT he likes his dresses hot and his shoes tall and spikey! eh? eh?
