I recently spent an afternoon in the breathtakingly beautiful Redwood Forest. If fairies exist, this is the place you'd find the little buggers. While walking down a fern lined path winding through a living cathedral of sun-dappled green softness, I started experimenting with my camera in an attempt to capture the stunning beauty surrounding me. Sure, I could snap nice photos of the trees, but I wanted to capture something more. Rays of light filter through the branches and flickering spots of sunlight dance in the soft foggy haze winding its way through the forest. Playing around with movement and light, I snapped away in hopes of capturing fleeting glances of the forest's hidden essence. While some may view these photos as blurry mistakes (and I wouldn't blame them if they did), I see them as images offering an alternative perspective of the forest. One more dynamic and prismatic than expected. I'm using these photos as reference for a new series of enamel paintings called "experimental forest".

Lovely! Thanks, beautiful.

Oh 14,
Your renegade photography skills allow us to actually SEE the fairies! Too cool!

I love Muir Woods or whatever the fuck it is called. This is gorgeous. I wish I could frame this and hang it in my dull apartment.
